Javascript is a programming language that allows web pages to run small programms

dynamic elements may be used to beautify a page or increase usability. Today, almost
ervery web site contains some Javascript elements to "improve" the general
lool and feel.
Furthermore the My Nero community web site is based on Web 2.0 technologies such as AJAX.
What we do is to use Javascript to let your browser talk to our servers. This way it is
possible to chat (with your friends) on an otherwise static web page. Also this technique
speeds up the overall loading time and reduces the traffic over the internet. Still the
most important reason is: Javascript allows this web site to behave much like a normal
application - in contrary to other server side created web sites or even static HTML pages.
