Where's My Bubbles?? |

I am not new to computers, but very new to Vista. A brand new computer with Vista and I cannot get my screen saver to work. I have spent endless hours on the help line. Formated the system and reinstalled, put in a new and bigger graphics card and to no avail I still cannot get my Screen Saver bubbles to come across my screen when not in use. Can anyone please let me know if this is a software conflict with Vista and another program I am running? I have been going nuts trying to make it work.
Chiprincess,
I need to know some things and one thing I can share with you.
What vidoe card are you running?
Did your PC come with Vista PREMIUM Installed? BASIC does not support transparencies.
I know the bubbles work. I have used it and I see it running at Office Depot all the time.
Cheap video cards that do what you need: Check out
Nvideo 6200
Nvideo 6800
ATI X1950
Better and newer video cards are a much better choice
NVIDIA 8500, 8600, Gamers grab the 8800.
ATI HD 2400, and up models
the Nvideo8xxxx models and the ATI HD models support Direct X 10 which is not required for VISTA Desktop but if you're buying a new card, consider it if you play games.
ALSO.. Please note that VISTA-DESKTOP DOES REQUIRE a minimum of Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0C Shader Model 3.0 Support from the video card.
