Nice one Chuck

Hi, Nice article.

A couple of additional points:

Firstly, to make getting sound from a turntable even easier, Google "Turntable USB", there is a whole load of USB turntables available that cut out the middleman, preamps, equalisation, etc. and make it very easy to get LP sound into your PC, via USB.

And secondly, if your records are as old as the hills, or even as old as mine, you may find the odd click or pop in the sound. I have found a piece of shareware called Wave Corrector www.wavecor.co.uk very handy for automatically removing clicks and pops, and for splitting tracks.

BTW: I am in no way affiliated to Wave Corrector just a happy customer.
