Career Highlights/Short Bio:
After his diagnosis of 'terminal' stage IV cancer over ten years ago, Larry G Jones rose above the odds and lived to beat perhaps even greater odds. He lived to headline his own 'one-man' show 5-6 nights a week in Las Vegas, NV. Originally from Alabama, 20 years of performing across America led Larry to the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' in 2000. By 2008, a 'one week trial showroom run' had turned into over six years and over 1,500 Las Vegas shows. His four octave singing range delivers six hilarious decades of the most 'dead-on' singer, celebrity, and presidential impressions you may ever hear. During his years as a Las Vegas headliner, multiple press sources declared that Larry G Jones has "the most accurate voices in the industry." Larry holds a BSME from Auburn University and was awarded voice-performance scholarships from the Southern California Conservatory of Music, & Loyola Marymount University.
The Show:
It's a concert of dreams with dozens of Billboard's greatest hits from music's biggest superstars. From Neil Diamond to Cher to Dr. Phil, you'll experience a huge variety of astoundingly accurate legendary singing and speaking impressions from the 1950's to today. Some of the other voices you'll hear could include The Rat Pack, Tom Jones, Wayne Newton, The Temptations, The Platters, The Drifters, Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr., Johnny Cash, Cher, Gordon Lightfoot, Capt. Kirk, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Harry Chapin, James Brown, the Bee Gees, Jimmy Buffet, Jimmy Stewart, Jerry Lee Lewis, & over 40 others, including 6 ex-presidents reciting an unforgettable version of the Star Spangled Banner. Larry's use of physical comedy, parodies, props, and audience interaction will captivate even the most restless audiences and have them 'eager to see what he'll do next!' Good clean fun (g-pg rated), each show is customized for the client, and the G.W. Bush skit can be customized to portray your company and executives in a positive light. Larry's One-Man duets include Willie Nelson/Julio Iglesias, Sonny/Cher, Nat/Natalie Cole, or Patti Labelle/Michael McDonald!! There's Ray Charles hanging out with Ricky Martin, and an incredible rendition of 'Four of the Temptations' in concert (where Larry duplicates each distinct voice). Larry G's - 'Superstar Voices in Concert' delivers a well polished, well rounded, high-energy show. There's music for every taste and loads of laughs for all ages with this timeless celebration of singer, celebrity, and presidential parodies.
Inspiration:
Want to be uplifted?! Want some inspiration for living!? Larry has escaped death three times! First; In 1998 Larry was diagnosed with a super aggressive Stage IV metastasized, malignant "Terminal" cancer (average patient lifespan of 6-12 months), second; in 2004 he was a 'death by drowning' survivor (he drowned after rescuing another), and third; he had complete kidney failure, emergency dialysis, and then a complete recovery within three weeks. It's no wonder Larry always has a smile on his face. Larry is glad to share his short but inspiring and comedic stories of survival through laughter, hope, attitude, and/or faith. These stories can be secular or Christian in nature upon request. "It's a great day to be alive!" Ending it all with an inspirational song, everyone walks away feeling great. If Las Vegas caliber entertainment with or without some inspiration, you've found it with Larry G's - 'Superstar Voices in Concert'!
