I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, IL.  Although I have a background in science and am a computer software programmer, I enjoy History and hope to be able to make it to Europe some day.  In particular, I would love to see Berlin, England, Paris - ooh, and drive that Autobahn - if foreigners can do such a thing.

As a profession I develop software applications using Microsoft technologies  *shrug*.  I like the .NET development platform and programming in ASP.NET is rather fun.  I am also a fan of Open Source initiatives and the philosophy behind them.  Computers are a hobby of mine, and using Nero to burn MSDN ISO files, make music CD's for my wife, etc., is but one of the non-work related things I enjoy.  I am currently using Windows 7 RTM and it is a winner, IMHO!
