Failure in Transcoding - Nero VIsion |
Nero Vision - any ideas on how to make it work? I downloaded 7 ultra edition and was able to burn a few slide shows to DVD's using nero vision .
Then I purchased the 7 ultra edition enhanced at the store and entered my serial # on the website as directed by tech support. Now it will NOT burn a slide show to a DVD - the same message appears - 'Failure to Transcode' . Now that I have pruchased the program, nero tech support can not get it working.
The 10 days of free tech support is due to expire. I really need help with this. Any ideas are greatly welcomed. Thank you...........Ed

Any news concerning the mentioned problem. I was trying to make a slide show and burn it to DVD but this seemed impossible:

Problems
I'm no tech support expert, but it sounds like it might be a problem with the particular media you're using. Did you try another brand of recordable DVD with your drive?
Also, when you installed the storebought version, did you make sure to uninstall the old version using the Nero Clean Tool (which is a free downloadable)? If not, please uninstall with the clean tool, reinstall and go from there.
That's my two cents, anyway.
NERO FAILURE
I too recently installed Nero 7 essentials that came with a Sony DVD burner. Every time I try to burn one, a window comes up saying "your trial period has expired, Buy Now". The software for nero installed but I don't have a Key to register.......I have been trying to contact the support team to fix the problem but so far, NO ANSWER.....I am beginning to think Nero is a big rip-off.






Failure...
Same problem as hotcar... I had successfully used earlier editions of Nero vision to make slideshow dvds and also dvds from video captured with my video camera.
As I'm a new father I knew that I'd better keep up to date with the software, as every grandparent and family member is relying on me to make dvds of my sons' progress,so I downloaded the reloaded Ultra Edition and proceeded to attempt a project for my parents to take home to the UK with them..... HAH! I guess I was just dreaming that it would be easy.
I got the transcoding failure , and was not able to get support soon enough to fix the problem in time.
When support did arrive with a long email, I followed the requests dilligently, and replied with all the error messages, screenshots and information.
I did get a reply, which parsed down to : remove and reinstall (??)
I followed the directions exactly as written in the email, and now cannot install Nero at all because
MY DVD DRIVE IS NO LONGER RECOGNIZED BY MY COMPUTER .. THE ERROR MESSAGES TELL ME THAT THE REGISTRY ENTRIES FOR THE DRIVE ARE CORRUPTED OR MISSING.
Support is minimal, notice there's no phone number for US customers. I hope that there is better help eventually.. if this is anywhere near a modern company why do they not have real-time support by chat or phone.
Thanks for the blowout... I don't have money to waste on products that don't work, or help that makes things worse.. I need a program to make dvds for grandparents, with the least amount of time spent and with no failures.
