Burning 3GP (mobile) videos with Nero?

posted by gfolkins at 1 year ago

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use Nero to burn 3GP video files I recorded on my cell phone?

I have transferred them to my computer from the phone, but Nero doesn't recognize them.

Thanks,

Gerald

You can use Nero Recode

Hi Gerald,

You can use Nero Recode, which has a profile for 3GPP under the Nero Digital profile.

Craig

Try renaming to .mp4

Hi,

I was just looking at a 3gp file from a Nokia N73. It is H.263 encoded with AMR mono audio. (Lousy quality but very small 104kB).

I renamed (a copy of) it from .3gp to .mp4, loaded it into Nero Vision and made an DVD style mpeg-2 from it. So, effectively you can make any output from it that Nero Vision can produce.

If your files are of a similar type it might just work for you!

Have fun,

Zingzog

Burning 3GP (mobile) videos with Nero?

Hi Gerald,

3GP is a container format. As far as I know it can contain MPEG-4 part 2, h.263 and h.264 video. With Nero 8 it should be possible to open/edit/burn this file type.
