MKV FILES IN NERO VISION

posted by djtallon at 4 weeks ago

Hi,

I was told Nero 9 Reloaded accepted MKV FILES.So i can watch them in showtime but when i go to add them in nero vision it doesnt work :(,...i always use nero vision to make dvds and i am now awaiting a new laptop with a blu-ray burner. The mkv file is accepted in nero recode but im afraid quality will be lost because the resolution is downgrading to standard definition and not high definition. Can anyone help????

I cant access make a blu-ray disc(will it be acceptable on that then)

Many thanks

Hi djtallon,

Unfortunately Nero Vision 6 (Nero 9) doesn´t support MKV files. In Nero 9 Reloaded MKV files are only supported by Nero Showtime for playback, but not by Nero Vision. There is no possible workaround in this case, as they will not be supported by Nero Vision 6 (Nero 9). MKV files will be supported by Nero Vision as of the next Nero version.

I believe Nero has Plug-ins available for higher definations of videos. Check the Nero website for more info on this.
