Cannot install Nero 8 |

I just downloaded Nero 8 and I am having trouble to install it. When Nero 8 asks to automatically remove Nero 7, I say OK, it does something, and then asks to restart. Upon the restart it continues to install Nero 8 and then it still says it detects Nero 7 on my computer. I said Ok and now it gives and error that it cannot uninstall Nero 7. How am I supposed to install Nero 8?

Ken,
I followed all the steps you say to do and still no luck to install Nero 8. For some reason it is still detecting Nero 7 and there should be nothing left of it. I am running out of options it seems. I also ran CCleaner and it found a lot of stuff. All deleted now. I rebooted between every step.

Hi Chuck
1.)Please go to the download section of Nero, Download the Clean tools for Both Nero7 And Nero8.
2.)Please Run the Clean tool for Nero8 then reboot your system.
3.)After reboot, Please run the Nero7 Clean tool, Then Reboot.
4.)Run ccleaner, its free. Get it here www.ccleaner.com, Run the registry clean tool and the garbage clean tool, Always make sure you have a backup. But I have never had any problems with it. Reboot.
5.)Reinstall Nero8 and you should have no more problems.
Note: Please Reboot between all operation's or this will not work. :-)

Try This
Sorry Chuck,
Start msconfig from the Run command on the start menu, Disable all startup option's (just uncheck them) Reboot and ingnore any prompts. Run the Nero Clean tools, There are diffrent ones so you need to run them in order, Follow the steps again, But first disble any firewall software, Also if you have any roxio software or other burnig software delete it also. Check in add remove programs and see if Nero is still there ,remove all traces. And try again with the startup files disabled. Then restart msconfig if all goes well.
