Adjusting Video Size In Vision |
Have a file or some files you want to add but Vision is saying to large to fit to disc? Then try changing the quality setting in Vision.
In Vision click on More > Video Options >DVD-Video tab. Under quality setting is where you can change it.
By default Nero is set to automatic - this is usually the best setting to keep it at.
When you change the quality setting you are changing the bit rate - the lower the bit rate the smaller the file but quality will also go down. Standard and down in the pick list are the options that will lower the bit rate. You can also pick custom and type in which bit rate to use.
You might want to save to your hard drive 1st & play it to make sure the quality is still acceptable for your needs.
Unstable Vision
When I recode a DVD material to DVD (1,4 litle DVD from comcorder to basic form 4,5 GB DVD) so only what to i have to do is make a sesion in vision and give a files, here its a VOB,s because like i sed they are from camcorder. And everything is OK but when Vision finaly begins recoding its take +- 1,5hour a window with this aplikation disapered with no excuse Did you have a problem like this or maby you have any idea what to do ? (Im sory for my grammar but i never learn a english only myself :-) Greetings and happines for you.
High Quality 2 pass
I agree John_Kelly. I usually leave it set at automatic. Some though like to put as much on as possible so the bit rate needs to lowered - and along w/ the that the quality goes down :)
Adjusting Files to fit on the disc
Of course, "Fit To Disc" and setting the parser to the 2-Pass option will always produce the best results for the video files in use.

Vision
Hi mirax
Are you saying that Nero just closes while it's running?
What version of Nero of you using? If not using the latest update to the latest.
The taking 1.5 hours is pretty normal for Vision - it's converting the files to a dvd compliant format.
