Nero Recode Digital can easily be used to convert and transfer video to your iPod.  

First connect your iPod and open iTunes.   If you don't have   it set to manually   manage songs   change that 1st.   In the latest versions of iTunes it's on the right of the screen under options.

Leave iTunes open.   Open SmartStart and pick Recode under applications.   Use the Recode   DVD's and   Videos to Nero Digital option if you have avi's, wmv   or even vob's etc.   Use the Recode Main Movie to Nero Digital if you are ripping it from a disc (non copy righted)

Under Nero Digital Category pick Apple iPod.   Picking this will change the Nero Digital profile to iPod Video. Now click Import Files. Find & add   the files you want.

Nero will now analyze them.   Might take a minute or two.

If you want Nero to close iTunes when it finished transferring the file click on More >Options >Nero Digital Tab.   Check the option to auto close iTunes after iPod transfer.

When done click next.   By default the destination should list your iPod.   If not then click on the scroll bar to select it. Click Burn.

You'll probably get a pop up about   changing the iPod to manually manage music.   If you've already done this click ok.

Now Nero is converting your video and will transfer it to your iPod when done.   Too easy!
