Cleaning and compacting your registry will improve your PC's OS performance, but it will also improve Nero's performance while performing your regular Nero functions.   There are many registry tools on the market, find one that suits you best through some careful research and/or word of mouth.   I use JV16 Tools and I find it very powerful and thorough.   There are some free/shareware utilities out there as well.
