Merry Christmas
Hi UncleDave ,
I have also noticed that "support" as a tag generates a form validation error , kinda sad eh ?
I have seen your posts / queries about setting up a tv server , cant be of that much help , not something in my experience , more a capture and put to disk sort myself ...
what is in my experience is "if nero cant do it try one that can" since nero fails at a lot of tasks , the ability to shop around is in my experience.
I am not sure that will have the functionality that you are looking for , I have tried it out myself but it was just more than I was looking for . I looked around the site ( which gives the apperance of being under some construction) and it mentions server capabilities + has a supported cards list , if I recall one of your blogs correctly twinhan ? was on that list...
media portal is free , and more than that it is opensource code , so if you are having the ability , than there is no law against tweaking the source code . , as open source you will also find that the support is more apt to listen , and to take suggestion , there is also a user forum on the site , which would at least be a place to look to see what people are saying / asking about with the software.
not really the answers that you where looking for , but it is at very least worth a look see ....
Happy Holidays :-)

Merry Christmas to you too
Hi artman,
Thanks for the info I'll have a look at it. Two reasons that I haven't look too far for other products are the fact that I've paid for Nero and expect (DEMAND?) that the software is at least documented. Secondly I have had so much fun with Twonky I dread to introduce a third media server.
The biggest problem, for me, is actually viewing the content which is the Nero Home side. It only really works with Media Home......... I think Father Xmas will be getting me a PS3 as media centre box. Twonky will work to that < - - - - gives me Internet radio and a MUCH better navigation interface than Nero. I still need to find a uPNP client for the laptop and PC's, so far the best tool for that is Nero and therein lies the problem.
As far as asking for help goes - I can't believe how little help there is - IOW that nobody else has tried to set these things up. In one of my blogs I even asked if the development team could send me the URLs that they used to test the software.
All the best
