Yeah thats what ive had to do.

A complete system restore, lost a lot of data, cos i couldnt get any Nero to work with Vista.

the download files are a complete waste of time.

I have spent so much time trying to get Nero to work with Vista, and couldnt.

I have completely removed Vista & Nero.

reinstalled XP and other CD/DVd burning tools everything is great again.....

I have used that search function you mention, however i cannot find any 'ahead file' nothing even close.

I cannot get ANY cd/dvd burning software to work now.

I think im gonna revert back to XP,

Just give up with Vista, waste of time and money.

Hi russ Ahead file`s store all the conponant`s of nero but the clean tool will not remove them once installed so even if you do a reinstall the new programme reconise`s ahead as already installed so  leaves the bad one`s on so you have to do the process i suggested to remove and hopefully if you have a good batch of a head problem solved ...p.s did it work o.kay????
