Had enough with Ahead and Nero
Enough with the tools, clean, etc. Dealing with this issue should not be this difficult and I don't understand why I should be troubleshooting all of this. There are two ways I'm now dealing with this problem - Roxio Easy Media Creator Pro and bittorrent. I spend money on licenses from Adobe and Microsoft. Ahead has no clue how to manage their product. After years of using Nero, I've had it with them.

I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM until I called.

1. go to nero.com

2. go to support

3. click on download

4. go under tools

5. click on clean tool

6. download clean tool

CLEAN TOOL LETS YOU UNINSTALL NERO SO YOU CAN INSTALL IT HOW MANY TIMES YOU WANT. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU EVER REGISTERED YOUR SOFTWARE IF YOU HAVEN'T, IN NERO STARTSMART. CLICK ON UPDATES AND SCROLL TO MY NERO.

i am having the very same trouble!!!!

disabling the firewall helps nothing!!! it just says it doesnt find a internet connection!

i emailed the support too, and no reply so far. very nice!

i should have known this before i purchased v8!! i bought it because of nero vision, which i normally use very often!

i love the windows activation compared to this one, really!

I am having the same trouble. I can't seem to be able to route around my windows or Nortons Firewall. With it like this I can't even use the product, as it comes up for everything Nero does.
