Okay, so there's been some football chat on here between neroites TonyT, Fatbloke and myself. I want to clear some things up:
1) I am NOT a Liverpool fan, I just don't understand supporting a foreign team over an English team in Champions League.
2) I won't tell you which Premier league club I really support, but if you guess right, I'll post a really funny joke up here. Hint: our club has friends in high places.
3) Peter Crouch is not as bad as people think. He's a good long ball striker, and not just because of his height. Plus he's a snappy dancer.
4) David Beckham sucks. And he's coming to my local club, too. And we paid 50 million dollars for him. Plus another 200 million in profit sharing. 250 million dollars. So stupid. So incredibly stupid. Of course, this is Los Angeles, so we care more about looks than skills.

Har har, "soccer" and "franchises." Fair enough, we do call them that out here. I didn't play rugby is school (I played football -- I mean soccer), but I do have a lot of respect for rugby as a sport and rugby players.
My boys are north of Watford Gap, fatbloke...
And yes, please feel sorry for me. Feel sorry for the whole city of L.A. As if we didn't have enough annoying photographers and reporters here already. It's so obvious that Beckham came here because of his wife, too. She just wants a movie career, so it's: "okay, love, let's move to Los Angeles!"

I appear to be up against not one but two adversaries in this discussion. FOr the benefit of nerodude I will now refer to football as soccer and clubs as franchises so he understands it better. For the benefit of tonyt I like rugby as well and played anywhere in the front row so you can imagine (particularly with a name like fatbloke55) the size of me, 20 inch neck etc!!! I do agree with tonyt thought that football "discussions" can get out of hand unless you are with friends. & yes the stick insect is ugly. Come on then nero dude the team you support is it north or south of the watford gap?
Are we the only people on this site or does no one else like sport?
Note to self, must start feeling sorry for nerodude for having beckhams nearby.
