I have been having issues getting Nero Scout to index all my files properly. It will not index my Shared Documents folders, which is where all my music and videos are. It is getting pretty frustrating. Any one else having problems with the indexing of audio/video?

What kind of files do you want to index? In which format are the files saved on your harddrive?
Have you tried to deactivate Scout, reactivate it, choose the folders you want to index and restart the indexing process?` The indexing process can need e.g. one day or so. It is not active immediately after you clicked on "Index Now".
