#1. Why rate an entry?   (Fire-Ratings)

You might not realize this, but clicking on the fire-meter, allows you to rate Blogs. (You   must be logged into MY_NERO).   Things that interest you might also be of interest to other people. Ratings help everyone  assess entries before reading them. When you rate an entry, you are helping not only other members of My Nero, but also yourself. If you like an entry, it is good to reward the author with a nice comment and a good rating. To do this, click on the flames on the left underneath the entry and then click on one of the options to select your rating. Also, the rating system can keep the Blog up front where other members can see it.

 

#2. How do I add a buddy to my buddy list?

Just click on the image or the name of the buddy.
The relevant profile is displayed.
Now click on the green button "Add ".
Your new buddy is displayed in your buddy list.

#3. I see new buddies in my list, Where did they come from?

If a memeber wants you to add them to your list, they can request it.
In this event, you will see the buddy with a message requesting you add this buddy.
If you wish, you can choose to add this buddy to your list. This enables both parties to see the status
of their buddy on line and chat with them. You can also reject a buddy request and delete a ?-buddy from your list.

 

#4. How do I add an avatar to my profile?

If you are at all able, add a digital photo to your profile. It helps everyone feel like they know you.

On the red main menu, click on "My Home ".
On the menu displayed, click on "My Profile ".
Click on the "General " tab.
A summary of your profile data is displayed.
Click on the "Edit " button at the bottom of the form.
You can now enter new personal information and select your profile image.
Click on the "upload picture " button and follow the instructions on the screen.
Click on the "Use this picture " button to use the uploaded picture as your new avatar.
Click on the "Save " button at the bottom of the form to save your new profile.

 

#5. Why use tags?

Tags make it easier for you and for other My Nero members to find content that matches your own personal interests. For example, when you click on the tag "Car ", all entries that have also been assigned the tag "Car " by other members are displayed. Tags are a quick and easy way of finding new members who share the same interests as you and of finding entries dealing with similar subjects in My Nero. Go on give it a try.  
 
Tags make it easier for you to find content. For example, when you search for the tag 'car', all content that has also been tagged with the word 'car' is also displayed - this makes it easier to find blogs having to do with cars. You can add tags every time you upload or insert videos or photos, and we encourage you to do so.
